Public representatives and senior officials in administrations and public institutions must annually submit a list of their mandates, offices and professions electronically to the Court of Audit.
The fees they receive for it are also communicated. These are gross annual amounts, sometimes only the order of magnitude of the compensation is disclosed.
The Court of Audit publishes the lists of mandates, offices and professions annually in the Belgian Official Journal.
The obligation applies to members of parliament, government members and the managers of their cabinets, provincial governors, mayors and aldermen, administrators of intercommunal associations, etc.
